CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — After nearly three years of waiting, Chagrin Falls residents will welcome a new Italian restaurant to the village.
Bret Adams, owner of Burntwood Tavern restaurants, plans to open M Italian in the former Ski and Sport Haus building at 22 W. Orange St. by the end of the year. The village has been without an Italian restaurant since 2011 when Joey's Restaurant burned down on North Main Street.
Owners of Joey's originally had their sights set on the building and had planned to open a new location there. They signed a five-year lease with developers for the building in 2012, but the restaurant never opened.
Plans for M Italian, named for Adams' wife, Michelle, include a complete renovation of the building, an outside patio and a fire pit. The restaurant will feature wood-fired pizzas, pasta, salads and signature cocktails.
