Bret Adams is one of Greater Cleveland's preeminent foodies, but he acts like there's no place he'd rather be than sitting at a table on the spacious patio of his new M Italian restaurant in downtown Chagrin Falls.
The phone isn't ringing. No one interrupts. You've got his full attention. It's hard to believe this relaxed 43 year old is the dynamo behind one of the area's most successful restaurant enterprises. He's the inspiration behind the wildly popular Burntwood Taverns - he's got seven of them including one in Chagrin Falls - plus the recently opened Pacos Tacos/Tequila in Solon and the elegantly casual M Italian that opened a few months ago.
It's tempting, but misleading, to reduce Adams' accomplishments to numbers. Consider them anyway. His Chef Art Pour Restaurant Group owns seven Burntwood Tavern restaurants including his two newest this year in Lyndhurst and Crocker Park.
