LYNDHURST, Ohio -- Burntwood Tavern plans to open its sixth location in Lyndhurst this summer.
Owner Bret Adams, who also founded M Italian and Pacos Taco's, said he hopes to open in the former Champps Americana restaurant on Landerbrook Drive in June, pending approval from the city of Lyndhurst.
Burntwood Tavern is one of several businesses to recently announce plans to expand in Lyndhurst, most at Legacy Village. Developer First Interstate Properties Ltd. wants to build a Hyatt Place hotel by next summer at Legacy. L.L. Bean is opening its first Ohio store and Capital Grille steakhouse is moving into the former Claddagh Irish Pub location.
Lyndhurst's Burntwood Tavern will share the same rustic aesthetic as its sister restaurants in Chagrin Falls, Solon, Brecksville, Rocky River and Cuyahoga Falls, with lots of weathered wood and exposed brick, dimmed lights and repurposed fixtures.
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will also be equipped with private meeting rooms for up to 40 guests, and a lounge area off the bar with couches and oversize chairs.
Burntwood serves American pub-style dishes including flatbreads and Angus Beef sliders, steak and short ribs.
