BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – Summer in Brecksville means outdoor dining – just don't let the wind blow your napkin away.
Let's start at Creekside Restaurant & Bar, 8803 Brecksville Road, where the menu includes steaks, chops and ribs. The outdoor deck is tree-level and looks over Chippewa Creek
Matt Harper, owner of Creekside, said the deck was installed one year after the restaurant opened in 1993. Al fresco dining is so popular at Creekside that customers will wait in line for a table – even if indoor seating is available.
"Just last year we added awnings on the ends of the deck so that even when it's raining, people can sit out there," Harper said. "We also added festive lighting and fans for when it gets warm."
Burntwood Tavern, 8188 Brecksville Road, opened in December 2012, but the building – with its covered outdoor deck – has been around forever. The restaurant serves fresh seafood, in-house smoked meats and chicken.
