Another Ohio-based restaurant replacing Rusty Bucket in Mercato

Another Ohio-based restaurant is replacing Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern, set to close Saturday night in Mercato.

Burntwood Tavern, operated since 2010 by Chef Art Pour Restaurant Group headquartered in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, plans Burntwood’s 10th location in the North Naples mixed-use development. The restaurant’s other nine locations are in northeastern Ohio.

Burntwood Tavern to open in Canton

Chef Art Pour Restaurant Group announced plans to open a Burntwood Tavern in Canton. This will be the ninth Burntwood Tavern location in Northeast Ohio.

Former Max & Erma's in Fairlawn set to become a Burntwood Tavern

The regional Burntwood Tavern chain said Monday it plans to open a location in the fall on West Market Street in Fairlawn—  in the building that formerly housed a Max & Erma’s.

It will be the second Summit county location for the Chagrin Falls-based Burntwood Tavern, which has a restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls.

New Burntwood Tavern slated to open this fall in Fairlawn

Chef Art Pour Restaurant Group plans to open a new Burntwood Tavern on West Market Street in Fairlawn.

This location, the eighth Burntwood Tavern in Northeast Ohio, will accommodate 250 guests within its 7,185-square-foot space. The restaurant will be located at 3750 West Market Street and is scheduled to open in the fall.

Burntwood Tavern -- a 19th-century landmark with taste

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- This 19th century Spanish-themed landmark is said to be haunted by the ghost of one-time owner George Stark. Maybe he's sticking around to soak in the look of this storied, stony gem, but I bet Burntwood Tavern's Happy Hour has something to do it with it, too.

It's that good, and features unique items such as Gazpacho; perfect for warm weather at a great price ($2.50). The food list is wide-ranging and includes Blackened Shrimp Tacos ($6) -- a plate with generous portions that's spicy, stellar and shareable. The zucchini frittes (peppercorn ranch and smoked tomato aioli dipping sauces, $4.50) make for a fine nibbler. The Sicilian flatbread ($6) – one of three on the menu -- is a generous in taste and portion, with its heap of mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage and spicy peppers.
